Alright, I'm feeling a little dizzy right now, since I just wrote 8.000 words in more or less one setting (I spent four hours), so I'll try to keep it short.
First, I actually failed my personal goal, which was writing 100k, which is double the normal amount. On the other hand, I also proved that I have the writing speed to pull off 100k words, since I only actually wrote 15 days out of 30. Essentially, I wrote the 50k in 15 days... yeah, I know, I'm crazy. Hopefully, one of these years I can avoid procrastinating and actually write like this throughout the whole month, that'd be awesome.
Okay, next item on the list, the content of my novel.
I actually wrote two seperate stories, instead of just Golden Haired Death. I also decided that both were simply too rough (and too short, they share the 50k after all, so each is more like 25k) to be posted anywhere just yet. I might fix the first chapter of Golden Haired Death, just because I've already put it up, but for other writing projects, I'm going to finish Dragonborn and work on the visual novel before I even look at the two others again.
Still, just because I can, I'm going to tell you about the stuff I won't upload. Nyah Nyah Nyah!
First is of course Golden Haired Death. Essentially an experiment in writing something more like an action movie, and using third person POV. It didn't really work. I suspect that my plan of blowing up all the story elements that were giving me trouble and moving the story would solve most of it, but a more fundamental problem is that I just don't think I write that well with third person POV. I still really like Green, I think even if I abandon the story, I might salvage the characters for something else.
Second is something I didn't think I would write, but which I couldn't avoid the temptation of writing since I was feeling stuck anyway. A Fate/Stay Night fanfic. Essentially a retelling of the 5th Holy Grail War of Fuyuki from the perspective of Mitsuzuri Ayako, who accidentally stumbles into the whole mess and has to cope. Written in first person, and far stronger that most of the stuff I've written before. This might be partially because I have a greater idea of how the world functions and can give references, but I also suspect I've managed to correct a few of the more fatal flaws of Kate River's narrative style in Dragonborn (the long rants with no action). The plot and characterization began to go in the later sections, but an eventual finishing would be accompanied by a careful trip through the original plot to use that as the skeleton for the fanfic, as it's actually reasonably easy to keep Ayako on the sidelines of the main plot, but altering certain events a great deal anyway. If I do write it, I might actually also do a Tsukihime fic for Seo Akira, another of my favorite side characters, and finally I've considered letting the two meet in a third fic. I doubt it'll happen, but I like the idea.
Meh, I guess this is it for now.
See you!

Uh, sound cool? Are we talking about my writing style or... something else?
Bite? Like, biting with teeth, not "biting sarcasm" or something along those lines?
Oh well, hello to you!
